Detailed 5 Days Uganda Wildlife Adventure & Chimpanzee trekking tour

Day 1: From Kampala transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

You will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning after your breakfast by your driver guide for a set-off of your 5 days Uganda Wildlife Adventure & chimpanzee trekking tour.

Your guide will brief you about the whole trip before embarking on the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. En route visit Ziwa Rhino sanctuary a 3 hours drive from Kampala for a rhino trekking experience. Rhinos are one of the Big 5 African games and a visit to their only sanctuary and then continuing to Murchison where the Big 4 reside will give you a complete Big 5 experience in Uganda.

After the activity, you will have lunch then connect to Murchison Falls National Park entering through the Kichumbanyobo gate from the Masindi side. Arrive in the park in the evening. You will have a chance to sight animals as you head to your accommodation.

During this evening game drive animals that can be sighted include; elephants, antelopes, giraffes, buffalos, warthogs, monkeys, baboons, and many bird species. You will get into your lodge and check in, have dinner, and overnight

Day 2 of the 5 Days Uganda Chimpanzee trekking tour: Game Drive and Launch Cruise

After early morning breakfast, your guide will pick you up for a game drive at the delta where you may spot various animal species like elephants, giraffes, lions, and Uganda kobs among others.

Return to the lodge and have lunch and rest. At 2 pm, you go for a launch cruise towards the bottom of the Murchison falls along the River Nile, enjoying the streaming views of hippos and serried ranges of crocodiles along the sandbanks, as well as a large number of different species getting down to drink water including elephants and buffalos.

There is also quite a good number of bird species if you’re a bird lover. After that boat cruise towards the bottom of the falls, you will hike up the top of the falls where you will be picked up by your driver to return to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at previous night hotel.

Day 3 of the 5 Days Uganda Wildlife Adventure & Chimpanzee trekking tour: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After your breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and then transfer to Kibale National Park- the best safari destination in Africa for Chimpanzee trekking.

You will have lunch in Fort portal en route to the park. Arrive in the park late evening and connect to your lodge to check-in.

Your guide can brief you about tomorrow’s events before you head for your dinner and overnight.

Day 4 of the 5 Days Uganda Chimpanzee trekking tour: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Wetland Visit

After your breakfast, your guide will pick you up for a transfer to the chimpanzee trek start point. Make sure that you carry packed lunch and enough water.

You will head to the office of the park and register then join a park ranger guide to take you through the trek.

You will enter the rainforest in search of chimpanzees. On spotting the family allocated, you will spend an hour with the chimpanzees while you take pictures and get amazed by their lifestyle.

After tracking you will break to the lodge to refresh then embark on a 2-3 hours’ nature walk at Bigodi wetland sanctuary. Return to the lodge and relax. Later have dinner and rest

Day 5 of the 5 Days Uganda Wildlife & Chimpanzee trekking tour: Transfer Back to Kampala or the Airport for Departure

Have an early morning breakfast and drive to Amabere Ga Nya Mwiru caves where you will explore the caves and later travel to tour waterfalls and the crater lakes tour.

Have lunch in fort portal and embark on a 5-6 hours drive back to Kampala or connect to Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home if your flight is on that very day.
